Pavement texture depth apparatus; exclusive via ABM !
Pavement texture depth apparatus, for measuring the macrotexture of pavements.
For many years the outflow meter after Moore in combination with the SRT pendulum test or the sand-patch method have been used to determine an adequate macrotexture of pavements. Both methods employ consumed materials (water or sand). At the same time, the measurements obtained by these methods are prone to operator errors on acccount of the manual testing procedure. In contrast to the latter, the pavement texture depth apparatus is largely free of operator errors and hence operates faster and more accurately.
The rotating laser sensor of the pavement texture depth apparatus scans the pavement surface with high resolution. The measuring device is controlled by an integrated mini-PC. The evaluation software provides an in-situ representation of the measurements in a test protocol.
Technical parameters:
Resolution horizontal: 0.2mm
Resolution vertical: 0.05mm (0.01mm optional)
Circumference of the measurement circle: 200mm (400mm optional)
Scanned points per measurement: 1000 (2000 optional)
Rotations per measurement: 2 (4 x MPD)
Measurement duration: 6 seconds
Measurement duration including storage of the measured data in the device: 12 seconds
Time required for transferring the data of a single measurement to an external USB stick for evaluation on a PC: 18 seconds
Evaluation parameters:
MPD (Mean Profile Depth) in accordance with EN ISO 13473, based on a semi-circular segment of the texture.
ETD (Estimated Texture Depth, equivalent to MTD/ sand-patch method).
Optional accessory modules:
GPS receiver; a GPS receiver integrated into the testing device provides the necessary positioning data for spatial mapping of the measured data.
Bluetooth interface; wireless transfer of the pavement texture depth apparatus measured data to a laptop or PDA is possible by means of an integrated Bluetooth interface.
Exclusive via ABM:
