Belgian Bitumen day Anderlecht, Belgium March 13th 2012 !

The Belgian Bitumen day - organised by Eurobitume - will this year take place on March 13th 2012 in Anderlecht, Belgium. We will also be represented with a small stand. This year's topics are Health and Quality. The international Agency for research on Cancer (IARC) has finalized an evaluation last October 2011 concerning potential cancer riscs related to bituminous products. On this Belgian Bitumen day visitors can learn more about this evaluation en what the next steps in the related discussion(s) will be.

Quality related there will be a general overview on the current production processes of bitumen from available crude oil. Also topics like adhesion and self restoring /healing of asphalt will be discussed. All these topics that have a direct or indirect influence on the quality and lifecycle of our roads. At the end of the day multiple speakers from Flanders, Wallony and the Brussels area will share their activities.

ABM at Asfalt- en Bitumendag 2011 !

On Tuesday December 7th VBW-Asfalt and Eurobitume organized the Asfalt- en Bitumendag 2011 in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Off course we were also represented withour stand with special focus on the new laserguided texture depth apparatus. The Asfalt- en Bitumendag is both an annual congress with interesting lectures and an exhibition. This day is the annual meeting point for everybody involved in the Asphalt industry and related Infrastucture work.

ABM at Betonwegendag 2011 !

On Tuesday October 11th you could find us at the "Betonwegendag 2011 at the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch (NL). Back in the eighties and nineties this show was organized every 3 or 4 years. This year the Cement & BetonCentrum started this tradition again. Together with the CROW the Beton & BetonCentrum organized the new "Betonwegendag 2011". This event was the opportunity to optimize your knowledge on concrete pavements again.

The interest for concrete in road construction is increasing, both at public or privat policies and contractors, this especially in a time in which durability is getting more and more important. ABM starts using AFAS Profit !

From July 1st our company is using a new ERP-software program; AFAS Profit. AFAS Profit is the ERP-software program from AFAS Leusden, a well known company in The Netherlands, also known as the shirtsponsor of football club AZ from Alkmaar (NL). The basis for this software program is that all business processes, from Financial to HRM to Logistics are automated in just 1 software platform.

Main goal for the implementation of this new ERP-software was to further professionalize our logistic and Financial processes. With the new software we will be able to work much more efficient and faster without losing our flexibility. Because of good and thorough preparation we have been able to switch-over easy and without any problems. In meantime we are working completely with the new software and we have a much better and more efficient view and control of our business processes. Our customers are also very satisfied with the changes as we are able to help them now better and faster.
